Burlington Equine Veterinary Services (BEVS) is a Vermont‑based equine sports medicine practice that focuses on diagnosing and treating performance‑limiting conditions in horses. The practice offers comprehensive lameness and soundness evaluations, detailed diagnostic nerve and joint blocks, digital radiographs, digital ultrasound, thermography, and saddle fitting assessments. Advanced imaging and screening tools such as thermography, digital X‑rays, and ultrasound allow rapid, in‑field diagnosis of foot, fetlock, stifle, and back problems.
BEVS integrates a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including intra‑articular joint injections, regenerative therapies (stem cells from fat, bone marrow, or dental pulp, platelet‑rich plasma, Pro‑Stride, Alpha2‑EQ, and IRAP), shockwave therapy, class IV laser therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, mesotherapy, and functional electrical stimulation (FES). The practice also provides farrier consultations, foot‑balance evaluations, pre‑purchase examinations, and endoscopic procedures for the upper airway and stomach.
The team is led by Dr. Randy Frantz, DVM, who is certified in acupuncture, chiropractic, and regenerative medicine, and is supported by office manager Linda Light and veterinary technician Susan Boardman. Together they combine state‑of‑the‑art diagnostics with a full spectrum of medical and alternative treatments to help horses achieve optimal soundness and performance.
